History

Childhood

Yen was born in Da Rua, Hokuto on the island of Taroko, April 26, 1749. She was raised by her parents and siblings in a nurturing home. She spent a lot of time in the wilds but also enjoyed reading to learn new skills. She enjoyed archery and bushcraft above all other skills but had a disdain for numbers and making them work beyond a rudimentary level. Friendship came easy to Yen and she made plenty of friends.

Teens

While she was a good kid, she did have a mischievous side. She played pranks and even learned how to ferment berries a bit too early. As she grew up, she formed romantic feelings for several different people. One day while she and a group of friends were together, one of her friends dared her to kiss one of the other girls. Not one to turn down a dare, and eager as she had a crush on the girl, Yen kissed her and the two of them went on to date for a year. Her first love, however, was an older boy in the village but it was short-lived.

Her life changed when at 17, she met Tiên La in the market and fell for her straightaway. The two began dating but things sped up when Yen's father revealed that he was arranging a marriage for her.
