The Famed Poem
the space between
insurmountable, and yet
the earth sits patient,
waiting for the impossible.
mountains and trees
stretch to touch the sky,
begging for the love
that hides behind the night.
the sky, she leans so close
waiting for his eyes to reflect
the darkest night
and the brightest stars
she sees herself in him
and he sees himself in her,
and lo! she feels his heart
and one brief moment,
the stars meet the earth
laying sweet kisses
upon his smiling face
until the next meeting
he waits.
