The religion that dominates Istres, especially East Istres, is called the Twelve Pillars. It is made up of twelve gods who each embody traits that are valued in Istrian society.

Beliefs
The Twelve Pillars are gods in the sense that they are aspirational figures. They were first mortal beings in this world but they created and worked to become gods, their merit so vast. In this way they are referred to instead as Pillars, as in the traits and ideals that uphold Istrian society.
